Design of Contemporary Villa
Foreign clients acquired a plot of land to build a 600m2 villa consisting of a ground floor and a first floor, and to develop the exterior with a swimming pool, a pool house, and green spaces. The interior and exterior connection of this villa is very strong in its design and layout, created by water and colors.
In collaboration with Romain Arnal Architecte
The team of interior architects and decorators proposed that the existing water on the land could flow under the exterior entrance and reappear on the ground through a glass panel in the library connecting the common areas and the ground floor bedrooms.
In the living room, the water flows under the piano through the transparency of the glass, joining the swimming pool and creating a perspective and continuity on that side of the villa. The blue color perfectly matches the blue of the sky.
To receive their family and friends, the request was to create spaces for gathering, relaxing, working, and more personal spaces such as the bedrooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms. This house has a lot of glazing, both outside and inside, accentuating the volumes of the rooms, to feel in harmony with nature and the view.
The clients themselves wanted to use the entire first floor for a master suite including a room for a makeup table, a bathroom with two showers, a bathtub facing the bay, and a bedroom with a lounge area for resting.
All of it attached to an immense dressing room. The design of this space was directed by the team of interior architects in a clean and very warm style with masterful pieces. The shower backs are topped with gold finishing curves, as are the basins: a combination of marble and gold.
The custom-made makeup table follows the decoration of the bathroom. The taiping master carpet sets the tone with the parquet and softens the angles.
